My research interest are in the field of biodiversity conservation with focus on non-consumptive utilization of biodiversity (ecotourism), human dimensions of biodiversity conservation and I work closely with park-dependent communities, specializes in community/stakeholder participation in biodiversity conservation, conservation and management of endangered species both in-situ and ex-situ, Zoo Management, sustainable development of ecotourism destinations, ecotourism planning and policies, protected area management, ecological economics; assessment of ecosystem services; sustainable livelihoods; cultural heritage conservation and gender issues in conservation.
